Building Access.
Bridging Gaps.

Powered by youth.
Rooted in community.
UJENZI FOUNDATION partners with young people to build opportunity across communities and cultures.
Kenya’s future depends on its young people, yet many lack access to practical skills, digital literacy, and clear pathways to opportunity. Each year, over one million youth in Kenya enter the workforce without job ready skills, while employers continue to report a skills mismatch. With nearly 75 percent of the population under age 35, the need for effective youth development programs is urgent.
By 2030, we will support young people across coastal Kenya and beyond to access practical skills, digital literacy, and pathways to education, employment, and entrepreneurship. Through youth led, community driven programs and cross-cultural partnerships, Ujenzi Foundation advances workforce readiness and inclusive growth aligned with Kenya’s Vision 2030. By strengthening local capacity and elevating youth voice, young people are prepared to shape the future.
"In Mombasa and across the coastal region, too many young people face the same frustrating challenge where they have the drive to work, but not the opportunities to match their potential. Youth unemployment remains high, and for many, the promise of a stable job feels just out of reach."
