BUILD THE FIELD
Train a workforce. Build a baseball field. Create something that lasts.
Build the Field is Ujenzi Foundation’s workforce and community infrastructure initiative connecting practical trades training with the growth of baseball in Kenya. Participants gain hands-on experience while constructing real infrastructure for young athletes and their communities.
A FIELD CAN BUILD MORE THAN A GAME.
Construction projects are normally temporary worksites. Build the Field turns them into long-term community anchors. While participants learn to read blueprints, master welding techniques, and handle precision tools, they are producing something that will serve their own neighbors for decades. Baseball becomes the vehicle, but the skills become the livelihood.
The field becomes the classroom.

THE FIELD OPENS
Curriculum customization and stakeholder community outreach.
Introductory welding, metal fabrication, and digital literacy training.
Building the infrastructure—backstops, dugouts, and security fencing.
Large-scale assembly and installation of field structural components.
