Our Project

kenyabaseball.jpg

Field to Field Project is a youth led initiative founded by 10 year old baseball player Clayton Sobchuk, a pitcher and second baseman for the Lake Stevens Riptide. Fueled by his deep love for the game and a big heart for service, Clayton launched this project to connect young baseball players in the United States with emerging teams in Kenya. Through equipment donations, team support, player to player encouragement, and cultural exchange, Field to Field builds bridges across continents using baseball as a common language.

Meet the Team

We Need  Your Support!

There are so many ways to be part of this journey, donate, give equipment, send encouragement, or simply follow and share the story. Every small action helps grow the game and create opportunity for young players in Kenya.

Equipment Donations

We are seeking baseball gloves, catcher’s gear, and team uniforms to support young players in Kenya as the game continues to grow. Gently loved equipment can be picked up locally in Skagit, Snohomish, King, and Pierce Counties, and new equipment may be purchased through our Amazon wish list. All donated gear will be delivered directly to partner teams in Kenya during Spring and Summer 2026. Your equipment helps put safe, quality gear directly into the hands of young athletes who are eager to learn and play the game.

Donations for Tournaments

Financial donations help cover tournament fees and transportation costs for the 12U and 15U boys and girls teams within the Kongoni Network in Kenya, allowing more young athletes to compete, travel safely, and gain valuable game experience. All contributions are tax deductible and processed on Little Green Light through our 501c3 nonprofit partner, Ujenzi Foundation. Your support goes directly toward removing financial barriers so these teams can show up, grow their skills, and represent their community.

Messages of Encouragement

Words of encouragement build confidence, connection, and belonging. Field to Field invites players, teams, and supporters to send letters, videos, and messages of support to the Kongoni Network athletes in Kenya. We are also developing a player to player connection program that allows young athletes to exchange messages, learn about each other’s lives, and build friendships across borders through a shared love of baseball. These personal connections remind every player that they are seen, supported, and part of a global baseball community.

Team/Brand Merch

Baseball is a global community built on passion, pride, and connection. Field to Field welcomes team and brand merchandise including jerseys, hats, apparel, and gear from organizations that love the game. These items inspire young players, build team identity, and create meaningful connection between baseball communities across borders. Whether you represent a professional organization, a local team, or a national brand, your support helps grow the game and the next generation of players in Kenya.

Books for Community Library

Books help deepen learning, spark imagination, and build long term access to the game. Field to Field is building a baseball collection at the Kongoni Community Library to support players, families, and the broader community. We welcome baseball books of all kinds, including picture books, beginner guides, rule books, biographies, and coaching resources. These materials will create a shared learning space where young athletes can study the game, build skills, and grow their love for baseball both on and off the field.

Hands on Learning

Field to Field is beginning conversations with families, players, and supporters who may be interested in a future hands on learning experience in Kenya. This is an opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and explore what a meaningful, safe, and accessible trip could look like, including cultural exchange, meeting the Kigoni Network teams, delivering equipment, and learning directly from the community. This is not a formal travel program yet, but rather an open invitation to dream, learn, and help shape what a future experience could become together.
